The property
"O Monte" is an 1879 Alentejo farmhouse inside the Quinta da Queimada estate, in the parish of Canaviais — registered as local accommodation (RNAL 18365/AL). It's the owners' own country house, given over entirely to guests: two spacious double bedrooms (Quarto da Cegonha and Quarto da Bicicleta), a common room with a traditional open hearth, dining area, TV, wi-fi, an equipped kitchen and one bathroom. It's surrounded by horse paddocks, a century-old olive grove and granite outcrops — a two-hundred-year-old eucalyptus holds a stork's nest.
Outside, two courtyards with trees, shade, garden furniture and a barbecue. For larger groups, two more bedrooms are available in the Main House (the owners' residence): one double with its own bathroom, one single. Free bicycles, a pool with set hours, stabling for horses and dogs, and one guest pet is welcome.
2 spacious double bedrooms, 6 beds in total, 1 bathroom. The whole farmhouse, plus 2 extra bedrooms in the Main House for larger groups.
A common room with a traditional open hearth, dining area, TV and an equipped kitchen.
Free wi-fi, air conditioning and heating throughout the house.
Free baby cot in either bedroom; an extra bed for €10/night in the Quarto da Cegonha.
Two shaded courtyards with garden furniture and a barbecue; a pool with set hours; free bicycles; stabling for horses and dogs.

Location
Évora's historic centre has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1986 ("Historic Centre of Évora"). In 2027, Évora — together with the Alentejo — will be European Capital of Culture, the fourth Portuguese city to hold the title. The city lies 140 km east of Lisbon.
Quinta da Queimada sits in the parish of Canaviais, in a rural setting bordering other rural estates. The listing and the property's own website say "2.5 km from the city of Évora" — but the measured door-to-door distance (OSRM, from the official RNAL coordinates) to the Cathedral, inside the walled historic centre, is 6.2 km and about a 12-minute drive. There is no public transport nearby: this is a destination built for guests with their own car.
